Position Summary

Our Cabinet Shop creates lightweight furniture that is as functional as it is beautiful. Our staff has been highly trained in the fine art of woodworking and Veneering and has the advanced skills to do work such as hardwood mouldings, inlays, exotic veneer applications and many other complex furniture designs. It is important to us that the details of your work are exactly the way our customers want them. In order to achieve that high level of customization and quality, we do much of the work by hand. You will work in our State-of-the-Art Cabinet Shop and start complete furniture (Re assembly) after Finishing process with the support of 3D digital models to the final exquisite Cabinet.

Your mission

  • Assemble, re-install, and finish VIP aircraft interior furniture and components (e.g., cabinets, credenzas, vanities, galleys, lavatories, bulkheads, doors, dcor, tables, seats, divans, showers, etc.) in line with release data and customer specifications.
  • Perform modifications and repairs on monuments and components in accordance with engineering requirements.
  • Machine grooves, install, and bond plated inlays on varnished or painted veneer surfaces following Jet Aviation processes.
  • Cut and apply surface coverings such as hard laminate, Tedlar, or veneers using appropriate tools and techniques (e.g., glue spray guns).
  • Cut and bond mouldings to straight and complex 2D shape cabinetry.
  • Perform major repairs and modifications with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist and share expertise with colleagues to strengthen team knowledge and craftsmanship.
  • Support senior technicians with process improvement initiatives.
  • Take ownership of the quality, safety, and timely completion of your work.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, EH&S audits, waste reduction, etc.).
  • Perform supervised installations or modifications directly on aircraft as required.
  • Research and follow approved documentation using the JPMS IT platform.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn additional skills and disciplines.

Your profile

  • Completed cabinet maker apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification (basic cabinet maker diploma accepted).
  • Strong ability to read and interpret 3D model files, 2D drawings, and assembly documentation.
  • Experience working with VIP materials in an aviation or high-end manufacturing environment.
  • Previous progression through Systems Integration Technician Level 1, with exposure to some Level 2 responsibilities.
  • Proficient use of tools and equipment specific to aerospace interiors.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office suite.
  • Software knowledge: Smarteam, Catia V5 (viewer), Fanuc language.
  • English: B1 level minimum, additional languages are an asset.
  • Self-motivated with strong personal drive.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and deliver results under pressure.
