TARGETING ANALYST

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
The Targeting Analyst provides support in the field of Open-Source intelligence analysis, recommends software advancements, performs critical software and hardware functional testing, and supports innovation activities to ensure analytical workflows are improved or enhanced.
- Apply knowledge of primarily Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and all-source intelligence methodologies and tradecrafts to support operational planning and targeting by delivering actionable insights on adversary activities, capabilities, and intentions
- Utilize Publicly/Commercially Available Information (PAI/CAI) with and without tools
- Identifies open-source/ PAI sources to support full spectrum open-source targeting assessments to determine pattern of life attributes and the identity of threat actors.
- Ability to synthesize disparate data from multiple sources into coherent reports/documents
- Use Open-Source/PAI analytical methodologies to identify, monitor, and assess foreign intelligence efforts targeting the customers' equities.
- Conduct industry analysis using a variety of data sources to include (social media, Internet, Commercial and Open-Source Databases) to create products.
- Gather, analyze, and evaluate data pertaining to operations, and organizations in support of force protection and identity data management efforts.
- Experience conducting online research and analysis for discovering vulnerabilities and threats.
- Performs analysis and research for national security, infrastructure, technology, country, geographic area, biographic and targeted vulnerability.
- Prepares assessment of current threats and trends based on the research and analysis of PAI/CAI data
- Perform link analysis on new and existing networks in order to identify access vectors and vulnerabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to proofread, edit, and finalize products for senior leader briefings and external organizations
- Highly proficient in SharePoint, Microsoft Office tools, and data-sharing tools and databases
- Familiarity with Boolean search methodologies
- Keeps abreast of emerging technologies and professional developments to remain current in the field and for application to work assignments.
- Ability to work independently and meet short deadlines in a fast-paced environment, coordinate participation and input in the development of assessment plans.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a Targeter in an Intelligence Task Force, National Intelligence Support Team, National Military Joint Intelligence Center, Combatant Command, or a non-DoD equivalent IA operational community.
- Technical skills: Microsoft office
- Security clearance level: Active DoD TS security clearance with SCI eligibility
- US citizenship required
- Role requirements: Military Experience, Special Operations
- Work independently to create accurately written, complex products tailored to a specific audience in an easily understandable manner.
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills to compose and deliver responses to complex questions in a clear, concise, and organized manner.
- Apply decision making techniques in complex situations to include anticipating and recognizing best practices and choosing options to maximize benefits to the office, directorate, or Agency.
- Anticipate mission needs and provide timely and relevant intelligence in support of the customers' senior executive decision-making.
Desired (Nice If You Have)
- Prior experience supporting Military or Federal Intelligence elements.
- Counterterrorism Analysis Course, DIA/JMITC or equivalent training
- Experience with data analytics and visualization
- Knowledge of the intelligence cycle or Joint Targeting cycle
- Knowledge of national or commercial imagery
- Graduate of the Joint Intermediate Target Development (JITD) Course
- Graduate of Joint Targeting School or Service Equivalent
- Experience and understanding of Army Intelligence Support to Targeting.

The likely salary range for this position is $100,300 - $135,700. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
