Summary:

The Sr. Manager Finance performs a variety of financial activities, including accounting, financial analysis, audit, tax, creditand collections; develops and evaluates financial plans and policies; and establishes and maintains accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.



Responsibilities

  • Manages the daily financial activities and functions for an organization including accounting,budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury
  • Ensures all financial operations are in compliance with governmental rules and regulations
  • Forecasts and manages a cash flow that meets the needs of the company
  • Provides guidance to managers in financial reporting objectives and standards to ensureaccurate, compliant and useful financial reporting is produced
  • Oversees the budget process and works with managers to produce and manage effectivebudgets
  • Acts as an advisor to management on regulations and other matters that may impact thefinancial activities of the company, engaging with outside consultants if applicable
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has some responsibility for personnelactions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions with concurrence from the HRDirectors & General Managers


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree
  • OR equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
  • 7-8 years experiencein a relevant function

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing or related field
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Accounting / cost estimating work experience related to program control, program finance / accounting
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of concepts, principles, practices and procedures of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments
  • Strong computer skills (Accounting &Financial analysis software, etc.) administrative data control, scheduling and team interface
  • Must be able to manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Strong written, digital and verbal communication skills in both an individual and team environment
  • Looks for ways to improve and promote quality
  • Must possess strong stratyegic planning skills, execution and multitasking skills, and have demonstrated ability to reprioritize on the fly
  • Works within the highest level of integrity, ethics and safety
  • Makes decisions that are guided by policy, procedures, and business plan
  • Consistently exercises discretion and judgment
