Overview

This position is in support of Ships Management at the Compatibility Test Facility (CTF) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will be responsible for all activities associated with completing key events related to receiving, testing, and shipping COLUMBIA Motor Modules as well as supporting the pre-production CTF test program during inter-module periods. The chosen candidate will be required to:

  • Work cross-department and cross-organization to ensure safety, quality, schedule, cost, and continuous improvement goals of each assigned project are met
  • Lead multi-organization evolutions to receive and ship motor modules
  • Lead multi-organization evolutions to modify the facility to support future COLUMBIA program pre-production testing
  • Perform liaison functions with Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) and NAVSEA management

Interface with Operations, Engineering, Test, Planning, Program Office, and NSWC to efficiently coordinate and solve day-to-day problems

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of EB experience in engineering, test, program office, or shipyard trades - OR - 5+ years of outside experience in manufacturing/operations in a field of project management, construction, military, planning, construction engineering field or shipyard trade
  • Available to work any shift, extended hours and weekends as business needs dictate. This role is primarily 3rd shift but periods of 1st shift will be required.

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering or another related technical field
  • Submarine construction/outfitting/corrective work experience
  • Prior COLUMBIA Program Compatibility Test Facility on-site experience and/or COLUMBIA Class Integrated Power Systems experience
