Position Summary

Join our Cabinet Shop at Jet Aviation and bring your expertise to the creation of bespoke, lightweight interior furniture for luxury aircraft. As a Senior Manager Cabinet Shop, you will play a key role in the manufacturing and refurbishment of aircraft monuments and interior furnishings. With advanced craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail, you will contribute to the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of cabinets, ensuring that each piece is aligned with engineering specifications, safety regulations, and client expectations. In this role, you will serve as a technical expert and mentor to junior technicians, supporting production excellence and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Your deep understanding of materials, finishes, and integration processes will help uphold Jet Aviation's commitment to delivering interiors of exceptional quality and sophistication.

Your mission


Lead and manage cabinet shop operations:

  • Oversee daily operations of the Cabinet Shop for VIP aircraft interiors, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in compliance with Jet Aviation policies and aviation regulations. Promote a lean manufacturing environment with a strong continuous improvement mindset.

Coordinate planning and resources:
  • Perform resource and capacity planning across projects.
  • Plan and manage project and cost center budgets, including CAPEX investment planning.
  • Estimate labor hours and material requirements; evaluate work packages for Completion Projects.
  • Support Production Project Managers by consolidating schedules and aligning resources to optimize efficiency.

Supervise and develop the team:
  • Manage a multidisciplinary team of production employees and supervisors.
  • Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of all manufactured elements.
  • Promote a proactive management culture and conduct regular shop meetings to ensure alignment across departments.
  • Oversee team training, skills development and ensure adherence to technical procedures and aviation standards.

Ensure quality, safety, and compliance:
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness in the shop (5S).
  • Ensure technicians follow professional standards, use PPE, and work with tools and equipment properly.
  • Support Production Conformity Inspectors and take corrective actions for any deviations.

Drive process improvement and lean practices:
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase safety, reduce cycle time, and control costs.
  • Promote and participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure correct reporting in internal systems (e.g., Element tool software) and provide timely decision-making data.

Your profile

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead and coordinate a team of up to 50 employees.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a production or aviation environment.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, resource planning, and team development.
  • Completed apprenticeship with relevant educational qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate stakeholders in VIP aircraft completion projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations including Part 21G, Part 145, and Part 21J.
  • Familiar with FOCA, EASA, and FAA requirements.
  • Understanding of aircraft certification processes and conformity to DOA documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experienced with SAP, SmarTeam, and Elementool.
  • Proactive, forward-thinking and self-motivated team player.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Capable of managing process improvements and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Fluency in English, minimum C1 (C2 preferred) / with ability to read and understand maintenance tasks in English manuals. Proficiency in French and German is a plus.
