Position Summary

The Senior, Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise cloud infrastructure to support global business operations. This senior-level role leads cloud strategy execution, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability of cloud environments. The Senior Cloud Engineer provides L3/L4 support for complex cloud infrastructure challenges and serves as a technical advisor for cloud adoption and automation initiatives. Additionally, they collaborate with IT leadership to develop and implement cloud governance frameworks, mentor junior engineers, and drive innovation in cloud architecture and security.

This role is an office-based position, on a hybrid schedule, working at least four times weekly from the office. Our ideal candidate will work from our location in West Palm Beach, FL. The posted salary ranges will default to that of your regional location and will not include any premiums. The baseline range for this exempt position will be as follows: $100,000 - $130,000 plus a performance-based bonus up to 10% of annual salary.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience managing Azure cloud infrastructure in a hybrid cloud setup
  • Deep experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Intune
  • Expertise in cloud-based identity and access management (IAM) solutions, with proven experience implementing complex conditional access strategies.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles in hybrid environments well as Azure Landing Zones.
  • Well versed in cloud cost optimization strategies.
  • Experience in network design and SASE platform integration with cloud architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, DNS, GPO
  • Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools is a plus.
  • Experience with AWS is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Strong customer focus with a proactive, solutions-driven approach.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain hybrid and cloud environments, primarily in Azure.
  • Support business initiatives by providing guidance, architecture, and hands-on implementation for cloud and hybrid application deployments.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of cloud-based and hybrid services.
  • Manage and support Office 365 and Azure Cloud technologies, including Exchange Online and SharePoint Online.
  • Migrate and maintain web applications, servers, and services in Azure, ensuring performance and scalability.
  • Oversee Mobile Device Management using Intune.
  • Administer and maintain IAM solutions across cloud environments.
  • Manage and maintain connectivity between Cloud and On-Premise networks, including integration with SASE platforms.
  • Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and Azure Automation for provisioning, scaling, job scheduling, and monitoring.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools such as ARM templates or Bicep.
  • Contribute to performance tuning and resilience improvements across cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
  • Design and implement cost-effective Azure strategies aligned with annual budget goals.
  • Implement and maintain robust security measures, including firewalls, access controls, encryption, and patch management.
  • Ensure compliance with cloud security best practices and standards.
  • Collaborate with the IT Security team to conduct regular security assessments and risk mitigation.
  • Provide Level 3 support across cloud and infrastructure layers, resolving complex incidents and service requests.
