Responsibilities:
- Security Program Management: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive security programs in compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) regulations, including the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
- Facility Security: Oversee the security of company facilities, including physical security measures, access control, and surveillance systems.
- Personnel Security: Manage personnel security clearances, including processing, tracking, and maintaining records in accordance with government requirements.
- Classified Information Protection: Ensure the proper handling, storage, and dissemination of classified information and materials.
- Security Training: Conduct security awareness training for employees, ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Incident Response: Investigate security incidents and violations, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Compliance Audits: Conduct internal security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
- Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact with government security agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders on security-related matters.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date security documentation and prepare required reports for government agencies.
- Integration and Development: Help integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, and contribute to long-term planning and executing the overall business strategy.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all government regulatory requirements across the contracting and program life-cycle, with particular emphasis on the National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM).
- Clearance Processing: Coordinate with employees to assist them through the process of obtaining/renewing security clearances through DISS.
- CAC Reverification: Manage the Common Access Card (CAC) reverification process.
- Document Control: Support document control activities in the Security Office, including logging, auditing, destruction, and transferring classified documents.
- Classified Meetings: Support classified meetings on-site.
- Visit Requests: Coordinate classified visit requests and approval of unclassified visit requests.
- Identity Management: Manage approvals of Identity Management (IDM) requests for non-employees.
- Security Briefings: Conduct security briefings and debriefings.
- Investigations: Participate in investigations of security violations.
- Contract Security Guard Oversight: Support oversight of contract security guard force.
- Implementation Manuals: Prepare implementation manuals outlining regulations and establish procedures for handling, storing, record keeping, and granting personnel and visitors access to classified materials.
- Security Program Development: Develop, administer, and audit security programs for compliance with government regulations associated with the protection of classified material.
- Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in industrial security, preferably within the defense industry.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Certifications: Industrial Security Professional (ISP) certification or similar is preferred.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of NISPOM, DoD regulations, and other relevant security guidelines.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in security-related software and tools.
- Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen capable of obtaining a Secret Security Clearance.
