Overview

The Engineer-Reliabilityplays a key role in the lifecycle of a product and is responsible for developing methods that determine the reliability of components/equipment and processes.

In this role you will:

  • Prepare diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations and reports (Metrics) to identify reliability problems and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Investigate reliability problems relative to cost limitations for equipment availability repair/replacement costs, availability of materials and equipment, and develops plans that comply with customer demands to avoid equipment failures
  • Monitor the equipment to prevent failures that could impede business operations and potentially lead to downtime or a loss of throughput
  • Guidance on maintenance, repair, replacement, fabrication, installation, alteration, construction, and design of facility components requiring the application.
  • Joint collaboration with Facility Engineering for accurate and timely repair/maintenance dispositions.

Position Responsibility:

  • Gathers and examines basic reliability data from field studies or database and correlates data for analysis
    • Root-cause and Root-Cause Failure Analysis (RCA, RCFA)
    • Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)
    • Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
  • Assist with project planning and implementation.
  • Work closely with budgets and finance to reduce maintenance and operating costs.
  • Develops and drives a facility predictable and reliable maintenance plan.
  • Provides input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related, andnon-reliability-related risksthat could adversely impact plant operation.
  • Increase equipment longevity and reduce downtime.
  • Avoidance of single point of failure (SPOF)
  • Assists in transforming Preventative Maintenance practices into Predictive/Condition Based Maintenance
  • Drive new technologies to program integration.
  • Works under the Manager of Operations

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors of science degree or higher in Engineering
  • 0-5 years of experience

Preferred:

  • Master's degree or higher
  • Construction Management
  • Trade specific licenses desired but not necessary
  • Maintenance Management or Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
