Overview
The Information Technology (IT) Procurement department seeks a qualified individual to join the team who will be responsible for all compliance-related matters within the department. This position requires interface with suppliers and end-users and all levels of management within the companys Information Technology, Cyber Security, Materials Management, Finance, Legal, and Contracts organizations. This is an on-site position located in Groton, CT.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze new regulations that may impact the departments procurement of IT-related hardware and software
- Keep current on new compliance trends and best practices
- Develop contract terms and conditions with favorable terms and mitigate risk exposure while aligning with the companys policies
- Review and negotiate supplier exceptions
- Track the status of contract lifecycle
- Provide guidance and support to management, buyers, and end-users on all aspects of compliance-related matters
- Review suppliers to ensure the company can conduct business with them
- Ad-hoc projects as may be requested by management from time to time

- Experience prioritizing and independently managing projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (especially track changes feature)
- Willingness to learn and ability to conduct online research of laws and regulations
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
Required:
- A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Legal, or Finance
- Minimum 2 years of related experience
- Contract negotiation and administration experience
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
Preferred:
- Knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and other import/export regulations
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS)
- Knowledge of data security and privacy laws and regulations
- Familiarity with IT-related hardware and various types of software contracting
