Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a related specialized area is required or equivalent experience. J-STD_001, 002, IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, or NASA stds certification may be required within 30 days of hire.

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a Quality Specialist for General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) Precision Structures & Optics (PSO), youll be a member of a cross functional team primarily responsible for overseeing the compilation and audit of quality data packs to include product data, inspection data, first articles, certifications, and shippers prior to shipment of hardware. The Quality Specialist may also perform production and quality control audits as well as vendor evaluation audits to determine qualifications. The Quality Specialist will play a significant role ensuring all processes adhere to quality standards for the manufacture of Beryllium products for use in the most demanding applications, across the aerospace, defense, and nuclear industries. Our products are used in high performance sensing systems for targeting and acquisition, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions, and are hardened for the battlefield environment.

  • Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems; knowledge of inspection procedures, techniques, specifications, and drawings with a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with the organization, schedule, and administration of internal audits
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills to identify and communicate quality issues within the organization

What sets you apart:

  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills
  • Strong computer skills, strong knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook
  • Previous experience with corrective actions including evaluation of data and generating summary reports
  • Previous experience with Root Cause / Corrective action
  • AS9100 Internal Auditor certification or experience
  • Oracle Financials software experience
  • Strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving aptitude
  • Strong collaborative teamwork; experience in cross-functional project teams a plus
  • Strong willingness to take initiative and be proactive, not reactive

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $64,854.00 - USD $70,174.00 /Yr.
