Overview

The EB Special Projects Program Office develops the systems necessary to provide submarines with unique one-of-a-kind capabilities. This includes offboard vehicles such as ROVs/UUVs, handling systems, control electronics, navigation, sensors, and mission planning, etc. These efforts include developing new systems as well as maintaining and upgrading existing systems.
Responsibilities include:


Management of sub-contractors including but not limited to

  • Assigning, tracking, managing commitment items
  • Tracking schedule progress
  • Managing metrics
  • Developing and managing content for Monthly IPTs, metrics reviews, periodic Design Status Reviews
  • Development of contract Statement of Work (SOWs) for Proposals and subsequent technical review of submittals
  • Coordinating EB review of technical, test, and design data
  • Requirement revision and approvals
  • Interfacing to EB sub-contractor and GFE sub-contractor efforts
  • Interface development

Supporting integration into the EB ship design efforts including but not limited to

  • Assigning, tracking, managing commitment items
  • Coordinating sub-contractor support to ship design development activities
  • Managing sub-contractor efforts for technical interface meetings

Communications with Government Representatives


This position requires technical oversight of subcontractors and significant interactions with EB Engineering, ILS, Test, Design disciplines, and NAVSEA Customers. It requires the ability to develop agendas, lead technical and programmatic meetings, and track actions to closure.


Some travel is required (1 trip/month)

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering
  • Secret clearance or above
  • Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance. Possessing an active TS/SCI clearance is considered a plus. Minimum requirement is to have a Secret clearance.

Preferred:

  • Possessing an active TS/SCI clearance is considered a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams with schedule deadlines and technical product deliverables
  • Experience with ROV/UUV and related systems considered a plus
