Overview

This position is for a Nuclear Test Operations Electrical (NTO-E) Production Radiological Controls (PRC) Operations Supervisor to support 768 EOH, PSA, Virginia and Columbia New Construction.

The Operations Supervisor will direct five to ten Electrical Technicians in the performance of nuclear work and testing on a day-to-day basis, ensuring the safe and efficient use of manpower and resources.

Candidates will be responsible for reviewing applicable technical work documents, briefing technicians on the execution of the job, and has overall responsibility of test equipment assembly, installation, and operations on new construction and commissioned submarines.

Extensive interfacing with Shift Test Engineers, Electrical Test Engineers, and Ships Force involving reactor plant testing is required along with communication and interaction with various Engineering Organizations.

The applicant must be medically able and willing to qualify as a Production Radiological Control Supervisor to obtain and maintain dosimetry and supervise nuclear work in radiological areas.

The individual is expected to support work at the Shipyard, SubBase or Quonset Point and during off-shift hours, weekends, and holidays, as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical equipment operations

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Test and Electrical Trade functions
  • Working knowledge of the Corporate Nuclear Power Manual requirements
  • Previous Operations Supervisor experience
