Position Summary

Jet Aviation is looking for a Manager, Inventory, Tooling & Capex EMEA to take the management of inventory, tooling, and capital assets across our European & Middle East operations. Based in Basel, this critical role is key to ensuring that materials, tools and equipment are available, optimized, and compliant to support our Maintenance, Refurbishment & Completion programs. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams-Supply Chain, Engineering, Production, and Finance-to ensure operational efficiency and alignment with regulatory standards.

Your role

  • Team & Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Lead a team of inventory, Tooling and Capex specialists across multiple locations.
    • Act as a liaison between operations, procurement, engineering, and finance to ensure alignment on material and asset strategies.
    • Prepare regular performance reports and KPIs related to inventory turns, tool utilization, Capex spending, and asset reliability
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage and maintain optimal inventory levels to support project timelines while minimizing working capital and obsolescence.
    • Oversee inventory policies, cycle counts, stock audits, and material traceability across all sites.
    • Lead inventory forecasting, safety stock analysis, and replenishment planning in collaboration with planning and procurement.
  • Tooling Management
    • Oversee tooling availability, maintenance, calibration, and lifecycle management across all EMEA sites.
    • Coordinate tooling sharing, rentals, and purchases in line with project needs and cost-efficiency goals.
    • Support the development of a tooling rental program, ensuring internal and external tool demand is met and monetized where applicable.
  • Capex Management
    • Maintain up-to-date Capex tracking, budget reporting, and asset register accuracy.
    • Coordinate with Site Operations, Engineering, and Finance to align Capex execution with business priorities and compliance requirements.
    • Manage the capital asset lifecycle, including planning, procurement, commissioning, tracking, and disposal of capital equipment.
  • Compliance & Quality
    • Ensure compliance with external and internal standards for material handling, tooling, and equipment management.
    • Support audits and implement corrective actions related to inventory and asset control.
    • Promote continuous improvement, cost savings, and best practices in asset management.

Your profile

  • Master's or bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Engineering or similar.
  • 5+ years in inventory, asset or tooling management, preferably in aviation/aerospace or other regulated technical environments.
  • Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (SAP preferred), inventory controls, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Fluent English required; German or French is a strong plus.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent planning and communication skills.
  • Experience with Capex budgeting and fixed asset registers is an advantage.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement training is a nice-to-have.
