CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at the time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As a Subject Matter Expert with extensive experience, the Senior Advanced Engineer Support Specialist will analyze the effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources; analyze, troubleshoot and provide technical skills during research and/or product development; and determine, monitor, and review costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements. Youll be expected to perform all aspects of Systems Engineering disciplines including Requirements Analysis, Use Cases and Data Flow Diagrams development as well as defining system default data definition through Interface Control Documents (ICDs) development. Youll also perform research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification or electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems, as well as system integration and testing and regression testing of software.

What you bring to the table:

  • A Bachelors of Science / Technology degree or Technical / Military school in a related specialized area or field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in systems engineering, network/system management with demonstrable background in research support and in-depth, hands-on knowledge of COTS/GOTS network and systems management applications.
  • Subject matter expert (SME) in at least one discipline/field and working knowledge in multiple adjacent disciplines/fields.

What sets you apart:

  • The ability to perform Configuration Management of media and computers, record versions on existing in use systems. Perform security settings on equipment and systems, install updates, support other program leads. Keep documents up to date and in compliance.
  • An understanding of Microsoft Windows and Server, Linux and general networking (layers 1-4), computer and communication systems consisting of both RF modems, routers, switches and firewalls.
  • Able to provide Support, Training and Testing of Systems. Support training events, learn systems, provide training to customers. Learn GMDS products, perform acceptance tests to ensure unit operations.
  • The skill and background to read engineering drawings and install equipment per documentation, validate installed equipment and ensure product operation.

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $154,666.00 - USD $171,583.00 /Yr.
