Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Advanced Manufacturing Coach Specialist. The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nations fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
- Generally assigned to more complex production operations with greater independent authority and broader spans of control in terms of functions directed, operational difficulties encountered, or number of employees directly and indirectly supervised
- Supervises the day-to-day workflow of subordinate nonexempt workers who put together component parts to make assemblies, subassemblies, packaging or completed units
- May direct subordinates through "lead" employees
- Reviews production schedules, material, and manpower resources in order to assign employees to maximize production objectives, maintain quality and attain output requirements
- Informs assigned employees of production and material problems and coordinates with support groups to resolve problems affecting schedules
- Participates in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment, and procedures
- Maintains a variety of reports, records, and production documentation to reflect schedules, performance, methods, etc.
- Ensures the employment, training, employee motivation, counseling, and discipline of employees supervised
- Handles the coordination of multiple manufacturing functions within a facility
- Ensures training certifications are up to date for employees within area of responsibility
- Assists with the development and mentoring of lower level Coaches
- Monitors budget performance and takes action to correct anomalies

Combined Salary Range
USD $93,298.00 - USD $100,951.00 /Yr.
