DUBAI / December 06, 2016 – Jet Aviation is pleased to announce that its entire network of Fixed Base Operation (FBOs) facilities across EMEA and Asia has received registration to the IS-BAHTM Standard (International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling) from the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC). The company operates 11 FBO facilities in EMEA and Asia, all of which operate under one unified safety and quality management system.
The IS-BAH Standard was developed by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) and the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) and launched at EBACE 2014. It is based around a safety management system that models the structure and format of the standard for Business Aircraft Operators (IS-BAO). IS-BAH establishes criteria to ensure handling systems, processes and practices meet rigorous safety and security standards.AeroEx, an independent auditor authorized by IBAC, recently confirmed that all 11 facilities within Jet Aviation’s FBO network across EMEA and Asia comply with IS-BAH registration requirements, firmly establishing the company’s leading role in the industry regarding safety and quality standards. Jet Aviation’s FBO facilities in EMEA and Asia are located in Geneva and Zurich in Switzerland; Berlin, Dusseldorf and Munich in Germany; Vienna, Austria; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Jeddah, Medina and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia; and Singapore."We are delighted to see our member list of IS-BAH-registered companies expand,” said IBAC’s IS-BAH Program Director Terry Yeomans. "By ensuring registered ground handling organizations are conducting their operations under a set of standardized best practices, IS-BAH registration helps raise the industry’s safety standards while offering assurance to aircraft owners and operators that they are in good hands.”
Jet Aviation’s Safety and Quality Manager for FBOs in the region, Daniel Brechbühl, said the registration process was challenging, but also gratifying. "Our first priority is to ensure our clients arrive safely at their destinations while providing premium service throughout their travels. Continuous improvement is a priority at Jet Aviation and our FBO facilities have been working closely together to standardize our handling processes since the IS-BAH registration program was introduced two years ago. These IS-BAH designations show that we stand behind that commitment. I’m particularly pleased to note the significance of 11 registrations within one company compared to the industry.
"Senior Vice President and General Manager of Jet Aviation’s MRO and FBO operations in EMEA and Asia, Stefan Benz, added he was very proud of the company’s FBO teams of professionals, who consistently proved their ability to respond to customer and regulatory requirements. "These designations demonstrate our ability to continually improve our processes, with a constant view to meeting the needs of our customers to the highest quality standards,” said Benz. “This outstanding collective achievement truly helps raise the safety bar for handling services in the industry.
"Jet Aviation is exhibiting at MEBAA 2016 from December 6 through December 8. Please take the time to visit the Jet Aviation Booth #628 and Chalet A19/20.
