SAVANNAH, Georgia, February 15, 2016
—Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. will host a comprehensive schedule of customer support events in 2016, including its biennial weeklong Operators and Suppliers Conference, two Customer Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and nine operators forums. The events kick off with an operators forum held in conjunction with the Singapore Airshow on Feb. 18. Operators forums provide updates on maintenance and operations, including fleet status, mandate and technology updates, maintenance management, technical training and pending technical bulletins. In addition, the company reviews its fleet support services to ensure operators leverage all available offerings.
"The customer forums we conduct throughout the year provide us the opportunity to stay connected to our customers and the issues potentially affecting the safety and dispatch reliability of the Gulfstream fleet,” said Tim Steinhauser, director, Customer Relations, Gulfstream. “Last year, our team traveled to 17 cities around the world and gave operators the opportunity to have contact with even more Savannah-based technical experts through a live feed from our broadcast studio, Studio G. Using this advanced technology, we bring our Product Support, Programs and Engineering teams face-to-face with our customers worldwide.
"Gulfstream’s major regional and national supplier partners participate in the forums, which include a question-and-answer period. The company provides translators for many international forums.
The CAB meets twice yearly. The meetings, scheduled for March 7-9 and Aug. 29-31 in 2016, provide a professional forum for approximately 100 Gulfstream operators to address the company's senior management and staff with feedback about their aircraft and support services.
“We switched to five model-focused committees and one dedicated to cabin operations last year, and we received very positive feedback,” Steinhauser said. “We will continue with that format as it provides the operators an opportunity to truly focus on issues affecting their specific aircraft model.”
The Operators and Suppliers Conferencewill take place June 6-9 at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center. The event, which drew more than 1,500 customers and suppliers in 2014, focuses on safety, operational issues and technical updates for all personnel involved in the operation of Gulfstream aircraft. It also serves as a forum for customer feedback and ideas; offers advanced training opportunities designed to raise safety and dispatch reliability awareness; showcases products and services for all Gulfstream models; and provides a multitude of networking opportunities.
