HOW BEING A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER MAKE AN IMPACT?

Provide software development, engineering, database design and Software Testing in support of enterprise -wide systems and products for the Intelligence Community (IC). Work with the latest commercial products such as AWS and Ruby on Rails in an agile environment on various applications designed and maintained for a broad range of IC customers.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years related experience.

Required Experience:
  • Good understanding and experience with JAVA and object-oriented programming concepts (Inheritance, Polymorphism, etc)
  • Good understanding of python and Jython javeascript frameworks
  • Very good understanding and experience with relational databases and SQL - does not have to be Oracle. Experience working with SQL tools like SQLDeveloper or Toad
  • Good understanding and experience using the Eclipse IDE
  • Familiarity and experience with a J2EE application server platform (Websphere or Weblogic)
  • Familiarity with PKI concepts and certificates
  • Good understanding of web service protocols SOAP and REST
  • Good understanding of working with COTS software packages
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Good communication skills and can write technical and functional requirements (user stories)
  • Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience building GUI applications and understanding of GUI concepts
  • Previous experience or knowledge of logistics business processes and policy (procurement, accountable property and inventory)
  • Previous experience with an enterprise asset management COTS product like Maximo or SAP is a plus
