Overview

Starting Hourly Rate: $20.00 per hour.

GD-OTS is looking for an Intern - Environmental Healthy & Safety - 1st Shift to join our Lincoln, NE organization. We are expanding rapidly and looking for motivated and creative individuals who want to help support and shape this organization as we grow. This is a year-round internship (work during the school year and through summer).

GD-OTS provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With more than 50 years of expertise, General Dynamics designs, develops, manufactures and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including; rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes and fuel tanks.

Responsibilities

• Support the Environmental and Safety Manager for the following tasks and projects:

  • Environmental Health and Safety projects - work with Production, Engineering and Management to facilitate improvement projects
  • Air Emissions
  • Pollution prevention projects
  • Improve tools used for data collection/metrics
  • Hazardous Waste Monitoring
  • Assist with permits from the County, State and City for water discharge, air admissions, and storm water.

Qualifications

Completed a minimum of 2 years in an Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering field, working toward a BS in Engineering as a full-time student.

This is a Year-Round Internship located on-site at our facility in Lincoln, NE.
