General Dynamics Elects Keane to Board of Directors

FALLS CHURCH, Va. – The board of directors of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) has elected John M. “Jack” Keane, a director of the corporation.

Keane retired from the U.S. Army on October 2, 2003, at the rank of general. His last assignment was Vice Chief of Staff of the Army, from June 1999 until his retirement.

During his 37 years in the Army, Keane served in a variety of command and staff assignments in support of operational and joint forces, ranging from the Army’s largest war fighting organization, the XVIII Airborne Corps, to deputy commander-in-chief, United States Atlantic Command.

A Bachelor of Science graduate of Fordham University, Keane also holds a Master of Arts from the University of Western Kentucky.

General Dynamics, headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia, employs approximately 67,600 people worldwide and had 2003 revenue of $16.6 billion.
