Position Description:

  • Function as primary support resource for all GDLS mc2 facility IT infrastructure needs
  • Act as customer service representative to actively assist with various facility events to include event planning and execution
  • Key mc2 support for establishment, collaboration and execution of activities related to the mc2 supplier management system
  • Provide support for design layouts and updates on any new construction of mc2 facilities
  • Create manuals and presentations for internal/external use
  • Assist with arrangement and execution of vehicle movements/SWOTs and product tours
  • Active member of a matrix support team that represents all GDLS organizations
  • Regularly communicate status/progress of tasks to management
  • Provide assistance in preparation for internal and external Senior Leadership reviews
  • Work with GDLS Strategy, Business Development, and Communications to develop product panels, promotional material, shipment of vehicles, hardware, etc.
  • Assist in the preparation, coordination, and execution of onsite Program Reviews and other customer interface forums
  • Document and track the mc2 systems funding, repairs and upgrades to include coordination of weekly progress meetings and provide input on potential reprogramming actions
  • Implement standardized work practices, routine, and train additional staff
  • Assist in the creation and publication of Request for Information, Request for Proposal, and information papers
  • Coordinate and execute visits from Senior military and government representatives to GDLS
  • Work with all GDLS Process centers to communicate tasks that must be completed including identification and inviting government participates, securing venue, coordination with support staff, coordination with security, etc.
  • Ensure all events conform to meet ITAR and Internal GDLS Policy requirements
  • Other tasks as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or similar Engineering field)
  • Work experience in a customer service-oriented field
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of various IT systems and technologies
  • Experience with overseeing large projects and events
  • Experience with organizing, assisting and leading teams
  • Knowledgeable of GDLS products and processes
  • Self-sufficient, reliable and professional

    Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communicator willing to share knowledge; Able to clearly articulate ideas and concepts through speaking and writing, provides hi-level and detailed presentations
  • Self-starter, capable of additional responsibilities and future growth
  • Able to work in a matrixed team environment

  • Able to work with and train GDLS staff and guests at all levels

  • Experience working with other General Dynamics Business units and outside organizations preferred
  • Knowledge and use of PowerPoint and Excel is a must
  • Must be a U.S. Person
  • Occasionally must lift and carry equipment weighing 30 lbs.
