HOW A REQUIREMENTS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

In this role, you will analyze customer requirements, user needs, and provide analysis to propose solutions to a variety of IT projects. A typical day would include:
  • Analyzing user needs to determine functional requirements for a wide variety of IT infrastructure and services projects.
  • Performing technical assessments aimed at improving client systems and services delivered.
  • Performing functional analysis to identify tasks and their relationships.
  • Researching, identifying, and recommending resources required for task execution and completion.
  • Performing functional modeling based on requirements analysis.
  • Working with technical and operations staff to develop solutions to user requirements.
  • Applying Service Labor and or Material catalogs in the design of proposed solutions
  • Serve as technical advisor to clients in assigned subject areas, recommends functional changes, and identifies areas for further investigation.
  • Generate recommendations in the form of technical briefings, reports, and other major documents provided to senior level client personnel.
  • Consult with clients to determine optimum design for assigned projects.
  • Identify emerging relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes and systems.
  • Write and update project documentation including system procedures, presentations, and training materials.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.
  • Participate in special projects as required.


This position is also responsible for producing small and large proposals in support of multiple programs. In this role, you will be responsible for managing cross team support working on multiple projects and tasks to include:
  • Performing business development activities including initial review of customer requirements and the preparation and review of resulting technical and cost proposals.
  • Coordinating, scheduling, and leading internal and external technical exchange meetings (TEMs) to clarify project requirements and resolve issues, enabling timely submission of proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's
Degree in a related technical discipline.

REQUIRED:

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in requirements engineering, systems engineering or project management and proposal support
  • Experience with technical documentation, program related messaging and customer deliverables
  • Experience with customer requirements gathering and understanding of Enterprise IT Infrastructure such as Data Center Management Lifecycle; Desktop Hosting; Unified Communications; End User Device Support; Video & A/V Support
  • Exceptional interpersonal, client-facing skills
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and eligibility to obtain a CI Poly


DESIRED:
  • Current and relevant customer experience
  • ITIL certification

The likely salary range for this position is $84,493 - $114,313. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
