SAVANNAH, Georgia, November 16, 2015 — Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. today announced that the Gulfstream G450 set another city-pair record, this time linking Warsaw to New York.

The aircraft departed Warsaw Chopin Airport on Nov. 13 and touched down at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport some 9 hours and 23 minutes later. The aircraft flew 4,094 nautical miles/7,582 kilometers at an average speed of Mach 0.77, with headwinds of 28 knots. The G450 landed with fuel in excess of the National Business Aviation Association instrument flight rules reserves.

“The Gulfstream G450 continues to outperform other aircraft in its class,” said Scott Neal, senior vice president, Worldwide Sales and Marketing, Gulfstream. “The company’s commitment to the G450 and our continued investments in its technology, along with its outstanding payload, have helped make this aircraft one of the best-selling business jets in the industry.”

Pending approval by the U.S. National Aeronautic Association, the city-pair record will be sent to the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale in Switzerland for recognition as a world record.

In addition to this latest city-pair record, the G450 has broken speed records between Savannah and São Paulo and London and Chicago, among others.

The G450 can travel 4,350 nautical miles/8,056 kilometers at Mach 0.80 and is powered by Rolls-Royce Tay 611-8C engines. The aircraft can accommodate up to 16 passengers and has three seating areas that can be customized to meet the customer’s needs. The G450 cabin also features a full-size galley, 100 percent fresh air, quiet noise levels, 12 Gulfstream large oval windows, providing an abundance of natural light, and a roomy baggage area, which can be accessed during flight.

The flight deck includes enhanced safety features such as PlaneViewTM avionics, which increase the pilots’ situational awareness and improve the overall safety of the aircraft. The G450 also includes Gulfstream’s PlaneConnectTM monitoring system, which automatically transmits aircraft maintenance information while the aircraft is in flight. This system improves troubleshooting and enables early dispatch of parts and technicians. These combined systems, along with other unique Gulfstream features and service, have enabled the G450 to achieve a 12-month NBAA Dispatch Reliability rate of 99.9 percent.
